Wentworth Campus Lunch Program

Welcome to another exciting year with the Wentworth Campus Lunch Program.


We are fortunate to have 3 separate lunch programs:

  • Junior Kindergarten
  • K-5 Lunch program (Kindergarten to Grade 5)
  • Grade 6- 7 lunch program




NEW THIS TERM – ADDITION OF TUESDAY LUNCHES.

Due to high demand, the lunch program will start a pilot project offering hot food on Tuesdays. A simple selection of new food options (3 choices) will be available with a 2-week rotating menu. This project allows us to gauge the demand for more lunch days, while limiting the demand for more volunteer hours in a busy season of service.

The lunch program expanded its menu this year to include fresh fruit or vegetables each lunch day. Gluten free options also available.
The food offered complies with the provincial school guidelines for lunch programs.

A separate (different) log in is required for each lunch program, this allows us to cater the lunch program to your child needs at that age level.

Volunteers to help with the lunch distribution are greatly appreciated! Presently the lunch program depends on 10 volunteers each week, who serve 2 hours each, to enable the lunch program to run smooth. This includes preparing drink bags, sorting the food, hand out and clean up.

Collingwood strives to be environmentally conscious with its lunch program, and recycles all the juice boxes (garden project), milk cartons, and food containers.

Junior Kindergarten Lunch Program

This lunch program is just for the Junior Kindergarten students. JK lunch program (and payment) is separate from the K to Grade 5 lunch ordering.

Lunch Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, with a two-week rotating menu.
  • Orders are on a term basis: December 4 - March 16, 2018
  • Ordering dates are November 18-26 ( 10pm cut-off )

Please Note: Meals can only be ordered for the days your child attends a full day.

The lunch program will be offered every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Ordering is online and orders are placed for the whole term.

Each lunch day in addition to main choice, one side dish option is offered: cut up fruit, fresh vegetables, or a salad.
Most lunch days offer more than one choice: ex. Wraps (Pizza Wednesdays), chicken kabob (Mexican Fridays).
Each lunch day there is a gluten free option.

Monday- rotating menu
Menu 1- Chicken strips /Burgers/Hot dog

  • Chicken or beef burgers, 100% beef hot dogs, veggie dogs are provided by Inn Cogneato.
  • Baked Chicken strips, side dish of fresh cut up vegetables are supplied by Foodie Kyds Inc..

Menu 2-Pasta and Baguettes

  • A selection of pastas and side dish of Caesar salad offered by Well Fed ( GF pasta only and Caesar salad) and Foodie Kyds Inc..
  • Baguettes with a variety of luncheon meats or cheese in 2 sizes (white or whole wheat) will be provided by A Moveable Feast.
Tuesday- rotating menu

Menu 1 – Asian food

  • Beef & Broccoli w/ rice, Chicken Stir fry w/rice or vegetable stir-fry w/rice supplied by Daikichi Sushi.

Menu 2 – Variety

  • Chicken souvlaki w/ potatoes, Butter chicken w/rice, or Indian butter tofu w/rice. All items are GF, supplied by Well Fed. In addition, Greek salad is also offered.
Wednesday-rotating menu

Menu 1 & Menu 2-Pizza & Chicken Wrap

  • Panago offers a variety of pizza choices: Cheese, GF Cheese or pepperoni, Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple.
    Menu 1 & 2 allows you the option to rotate the variety of pizza ordered.
  • Chicken Caesar Wrap and cut up vegetable side (week 1), BBQ Chicken Cheddar Wrap and fruit cup side (week 2) from Well Fed.

Friday- choices rotating menu

Menu 1-Mexican Day-includes gluten free option
Cilantro and Jalapeno offers soft beef taco, beef or chicken burrito, cheese or chicken quesadilla, veggie wrap, gluten free cheese or chicken quesadilla( corn wrap) and beef taco salad.

  • Chicken Kabob(GF) served over basmati rice supplied by Inn Cogneato. Side dish-fruit cup by Foodie Kyds Inc..

Menu 2-Sushi

  • A variety of sushi and rice bowls will be provided by Daikichi Sushi.

Beverages- 2% milk (237ml), Chocolate milk (237ml), Apple juice or Orange juice (200ml), are available to order with each lunch

6-7 Lunch Program

The lunch program will be offered every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Ordering is online and orders are placed for the whole term.

    • Max frut frozen fruit bars - offering the small size MaxFrut bars which are made from 100% whole, real fruit that is minimally processed( not pureed), with no artificial flavors or colours.

    Menu 1-Mexican Day-includes gluten free option

    • Cilantro and Jalapeno offers chicken burrito, cheese or chicken quesadilla, veggie wrap, gluten free cheese or chicken quesadilla( corn wrap) and beef taco salad. Soft beef taco, black beans & rice burrito, fruit cup and brownie by Foodie Kyds Inc.
    • Chicken Kabob(GF) served over basmati rice is another option for this Friday menu supplied by Inn Cogneato.

    Menu 2-Sushi

    • A variety of sushi and rice bowls will be provided by Daikichi Sushi.
    • Additional options: chocolate chip cookie supplied by Gemini Food services

    Beverages- 2% milk (237ml), Chocolate milk, Apple juice (200ml), Orange juice are available to order with each lunch
