Wentworth Campus Lunch Program

We are fortunate to have 3 separate lunch programs

  • Junior Kindergarten
  • K-3 Lunch program (Kindergarten to Grade 3)
  • Grade 4- 7 lunch program

The lunch program is offered every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Ordering is online and orders are placed for the whole term.

  • Term 2: December 3 – March 15 order dates are November 17-25
  • Term 3: April 1 – June 11

The food offered complies with the provincial school guidelines for lunch programs.

Volunteers to help with the lunch distribution are greatly appreciated! The lunch program depends on 12 volunteers each week, who serve 2 hours each, to enable the lunch program to run smooth. This includes preparing drink bags, sorting the food, hand out and clean up. At the end of the ordering process, you can check mark any date that you are available and you will be contacted to confirm the schedule. Alternatively, you can contact lunchvolunteers@mycw.org

Collingwood strives to be environmentally conscious with its lunch program, and recycles all the juices boxes (garden project), milk cartons, containers from pasta & rice.

This lunch program is just for the Junior Kindergarten students. JK lunch program (and payment) is separate from the K to Grade 5 lunch ordering.

Lunch Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, with a two-week rotating menu.
  • Orders are on a term basis: Term 2: December 3-March 15
  • Ordering dates are November 17-25 ( 10pm cut-off )

Please Note: Meals can only be ordered for the days your child attends a full day

Payment can be made online by credit card only. There are no refunds for missed lunches. You have the option to de-select any lunch dates when placing your order.

Menu

  • Most lunch days offer in addition to main choice, one side dish option: cut up fruit, fresh vegetables, or a salad.
  • Most lunch days offer more than one choice: ex. Wraps (Pizza Wednesdays), baked chicken strips (Monday), chicken kabob (Mexican Fridays), Korean style BBQ sauce beef, or Butter chicken ( Variety Tuesday)

Monday- rotating menu

Menu 1 - Chicken strips /Burgers/Hot dog

  • Beef burgers, 100% beef hot dogs, veggie dogs are provided by Inn Cogneato.
  • Baked Chicken strips are supplied by Foodie Kyds Inc..
  • Organic Beef sausage baked in milk bread, side dish of fresh cut up vegetables supplied by Gaia Kitchen.

Menu 2 - Pasta and Baguettes

  • A selection of pastas and side dish of Caesar salad offered by Well Fed ( GF pasta only and Caesar salad) and Foodie Kyds Inc..
  • Baguettes (4in) with a variety of luncheon meats or cheese (white or whole wheat) will be provided by A Moveable Feast.

Tuesday- rotating menu

Menu 1 – Asian food

  • Beef & Broccoli w/ rice, Chicken Stir fry w/rice or Veggie stir fry w/rice supplied by Daikichi Sushi.
  • Ginger beef with egg noodles, or Chicken & potato coconut curry with basmati rice by Gaia Kitchen.

Menu 2 – Variety

  • Chicken souvlaki w/ rice, Butter chicken w/rice or Butter chickpea w/rice, all items are GF, supplied by Well Fed. In addition, Pita chips with Tzakziki is offered.
  • Korean Style BBQ sauce beef with stir-fried vegetables on mix of white & brown rice or Chinese style BBQ Pork with egg noodles & seasonal greens by Gaia Kitchen.

Wednesday-rotating menu

Menu 1 & Menu 2 – Pizza, Wraps & Lunch box Panago offers a variety of individual pizza slices: Cheese, GF Cheese or pepperoni, Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple.

Menu 1 & 2 allows you the option to rotate the variety of pizza ordered.

  • Lunch box with variety of finger food items: egg, cheese & apple slices, snap peas, pita bread w/tzakziki geared towards the smaller appetites.

  • Chicken Caesar or vegetarian Wrap and cut up vegetable side (week 1), Ranch Chicken Cheddar Wrap or Vegetarian and fruit cup side (week 2) from Well Fed.

Friday- rotating menu

Menu 1 - Mexican Day

  • Provided by Cilantro and Jalapeno offering beef or chicken burrito, cheese or chicken quesadilla, gluten free cheese or chicken quesadilla( corn wrap) and Spanish rice. Soft beef taco or Black bean burrito supplied by Foodie Kyds Inc..
  • Chicken Kabob(GF) served over basmati rice is another option for this Friday menu supplied by Inn Cogneato

Menu 2 - Sushi

  • A variety of sushi rolls, Pork Gyoza and rice bowls will be provided by Daikichi Sushi.

Beverages- 2% milk (237ml), Chocolate milk, Apple juice (200ml), Orange juice are available to order with each lunch

  • If your grade 4 - 7 student has younger siblings in the K-3 lunch program, there is a separate log in for the K-grade 3 lunch program and Grade 4-7 lunch program.

    • Your log in for the Middle school lunch program is your school contact email preceding with ‘MS’ .

  • Max frut frozen fruit bars - offering the small size MaxFrut bars which are made from 100% whole, real fruit that is minimally processed( not pureed), with no artificial flavors or colours.

Friday- choices rotating menu

  • Provided by Cilantro and Jalapeno offering beef or chicken burrito, cheese or chicken quesadilla, gluten free cheese or chicken quesadilla( corn wrap) and Spanish rice. Soft beef taco, Breakfast or Black bean burrito supplied by Foodie Kyds Inc..
  • Chicken Kabob(GF) served over basmati rice is another option for this Friday menu supplied by Inn Cogneato. Fruit cup and blueberry/raspberry oat bar by Well Fed.

Menu 2-Sushi

  • A variety of sushi rolls, Pork Gyoza and rice bowls will be provided by Daikichi Sushi.
  • Additional options: brownie supplied by Foodie Kyds Inc..
