Before & After School Care
The Collingwood JK-5 before/after school care program is set up to support families on days where both parents/guardians work full-time or where an only parent/guardian works full-time and there is no alternate caregiver, such as a nanny or relative, to pick up the children at regular dismissal. In the case of part-time work, students are only permitted to use before and/or after school care on the days when their parents/guardians are working. Due to strict licensing regulations we cannot exceed our student capacity for before or after school care. In order to comply with our licensing, only registered students are permitted to use Collingwood before/after school care services. In the case of a genuine emergency please contact your child’s teacher and we will assist with the supervision of your child until they can be picked up.
Students in after school care are expected to be picked up on time. If students are picked up late, a late slip will be recorded. After two late slips have been recorded, after school care privileges will be suspended at the discretion of the Director of Primary Program.During before and after school care, students are held to the same behavioural standards as during the regular school day. Poor behaviour will result in a warning. If this behaviour continues Mrs. Stuart will contact the family. If this behaviour continues further, then before/after school care can and will be suspended at the discretion of the Director of the Primary Program.
