Lucas Y had an amazing Vancouver Sea-To-Sky Zone Championships meet last week as he set two new Junior Boys' records.  Lucas jumped 6.54m in the long-jump and also broke the record in the 110m Hurdles.  Lucas' time of 13.79 is actually quicker than the provincial record.

As Collingwood’s track season draws toward its close, the pinnacle of the season — the Provincial Championship Meet — is all that remains on the schedule. Collingwood had a remarkable year on crimson rubber and green grass this year with stand out performances from our senior athletes led by our captains Zoe C, and Saige F, along with the likes of Vance D, Adam G, and Katelyn B.

Representing Collingwood on the provincial stage will be 3 athletes. First, Lucas Y returning the provincials after dominating his debut two years ago. He looks to claim more golds in both the 100 meter hurdles and the long jump after coming first in both events at the Sea-to-Sky meet.

Elsewhere, for the second year in a row, Grade 9 Owen E will be competing in the javelin after finishing second in his division at qualifiers.

And finally, in the junior division, Jordana F sets her sights on provincial glory in the 200 meter after finishing fourth at the Sea-to-Sky championship. 

There is talent throughout the grades from the Grade 8s, led by Hannah T, and Julia M, into the junior division, headlined by Isabella D, Roxana Y, Lily T, and Vivienne R, all of whom will find themselves in a leadership position next year as they move into the senior division to join next year’s captain, Carina D who enters her senior year of track.
