The junior volleyball team kicked off their season with a trip to the Langley Event Centre for the Trinity Western University tournament.  When you travel to the Fraser Valley for a volleyball tournament, you know you're going to face some tough opposition and this was certainly the case.  Here is Coach Morris' report on a great tournament for our team:

What a fantastic weekend of volleyball!

Our team showed incredible adaptability and heart on the court—trying out new positions, dialing in our serves and passes, hitting big spikes, and bringing tons of energy through every win and loss. Co-captains Evie and Athena led the charge with steady determination and incredible leadership.

We kicked off the tournament on a high note, dominating pool play and finishing 1st overall against Credo Christian, White Rock Christian Academy, and Robert Bateman.

Due to tournament scheduling, we faced a long break before taking on MEI (Mennonite Educational Institute)—the eventual tournament champions. Though we fought hard, we ultimately fell short in a tough battle.

Refusing to let that slow us down, the team was back up bright and early Saturday morning for our final matchup against Abbotsford Christian School (ACS). After dropping a razor-thin first set, the girls showed true grit: fighting back to claim an epic 30–28 victory in set two, and closing out the match with a 15–12 thriller in set three!

What a way to finish! We walked away with huge learning moments, a great team win, and plenty of momentum as we kick off the rest of the season. Go team!
