Golfers Finish 2nd At North Shore Championships
David Speirs

The golf team finished 2nd at the North Shore Championships yesterday.  The battle between the teams in positions 2-4 was incredibly tight as the Cavs pipped Whistler by one stroke with Rockridge only two behind.  This means that Collingwood was one of the three North Shore teams to qualify for the Vancouver Sea-To-Sky Zone Championships next week.

Coach Francis reports that the Squamish course was in excellent condition which is good news as the Zone Championships are there next week as well.

Tom W was the Cavs' top golfer with a 73.  Harry B was close behind with a 77.  Adrian M posted a 82, while Kion H and Fletcher Y would be a tad disappointed with their 89's.  The team knows that they will all have to shoot better scores next week if they want to qualify for the BC Championships.
