Ryan Wang has been invited by the Chinese government to take part in a television series called "Speak to the World". This series highlights Chinese from around the world who are recognized on an international level in their disciplines. Of the 60 guests invited from disciplines such as economics, politics, science, arts, sports, literature and many other categories, at 11 years old, Ryan is the youngest. Ryan will speak about his journey and the discipline it took to reach his world class recognized skills on the piano. Ryan is grateful for the continued support he receives from his family, friends, teachers and from Collingwood School, some who may make an appearance on tomorrow's episode!
Some of the other 'Speak to the World' guests include Hollywood's Chinese American actress, Ms. Liu Yah, American actress Chen Chong, Taiwanese political critic Chen Wenzhao, Hungarian Chinese Olympic gold medalist speed skater, Shaolin Liu, and Canadian politician, Teresa Wat, British Columbia Minister of International Trade.
The 12 part "Speak to the World" series, plus finale, will be aired every Saturday on Channel CCTV 4 worldwide, 7:30pm in Beijing and 6:50pm in Vancouver, local time. Ryan will be featured on the second episode, December 1, and is privileged to be invited back for the finale.
