Pre-application Public Consultation Meeting
Date: November 25, 2025
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (drop in)
Location: The Foundation Students Centre (FSC), Collingwood School, 2605
Wentworth Avenue, West Vancouver
Collingwood School is proposing a multi-phase master plan over the next several decades to address aging facilities, meet code requirements, increase on site parking and queuing, and fulfill long term educational requirements. The first step in this process is a rezoning application, which proposes to rezone a portion of the parcels currently held by the School in West Vancouver’s Upper Lands as PA-1, specifically used to zone properties that accommodate educational institutions, in support of their long term plans.
You are invited to attend a Pre-Application Public Consultation Meeting (PCM) to learn more about the proposal, meet the project team, and share your feedback prior to the submission of a formal development application to the District of West Vancouver.
Collingwood School has been part of West Vancouver for over four decades, serving families from across the North Shore and contributing to the social, cultural, and educational fabric of the community. Through this process, the school aims to ensure that its facilities remain safe, offer community amenities and support future generations.
This meeting is in advance of the submission of a formal development application to the District of West Vancouver. This is an applicant-led event, not a District event.
Why now?
The existing Collingwood School Wentworth Campus currently accommodates students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7. The campus is made up of several buildings totaling just over 100,000 square feet, constructed between 1996 and 2010.
While the school’s facilities have served students well for many years, the campus is presently fragmented by a right of way along Wentworth Avenue, which cuts between the school’s three properties. This division poses ongoing safety challenges for students and staff who must cross the roadway and limits the school’s ability to operate efficiently.

The parcels are currently zoned under a mix of PA1 (Public Assembly), RS3, and RS7 (Residential) zones, which complicates future planning to address aging facilities, meet code requirements, increase on site parking and queuing, and fulfill long-term educational requirements. This rezoning seeks to bring all three parcels under a single PA1 designation to support educational use and prepare the site for a unified campus redevelopment.
