Put on your cape, grab your mask and let’s go! Whatever your superpower is, you’re sure to love this week at camp! Children will design and wear their very own superhero cape and mask and participate in different cooperative activities to save the day! Superpowers may be needed during the different indoor and outdoor games that children will play. Dramatic play, reading and arts and crafts will take on this theme all week, too! Note that the programming for the am and pm sessions will differ.

If your child is registered in both the morning and afternoon program this week, there will be a supervised lunch break from 12:00-1:00.

Young pirates will hunt for treasure using a scavenger map to Number Island. They will plunder and uncover great fortune in many forms. Come collect, gather, count, measure, weigh and celebrate your precious findings through games, charts and play!

Join in the fun this summer with our week long clay program! In this week of ceramics, children will be introduced to the material of clay and the variety of ways to form shapes. They will learn basic ceramic hand building and decorative techniques such as making pinch pots, slab projects, coil vessels, and glazing. Students will have both group and individual instruction at their own level, and bring home their work at the end.

Make your child’s Collingwood Camp a full day experience by adding on our afternoon program. Following a supervised lunch, our summer staff will lead campers through a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Cooperative games and arts and crafts are among the many fun “campy” activities that are planned with a different theme in mind each week. Our afternoon programming will complement your child’s unique instructional program in the morning, and is sure to keep campers engaged and active throughout the day.

How to be a Scientist, #521

The classroom will be transformed into a science lab of fun as we learn about scientific methods! Students will learn to think like a scientist and learn all about lab safely. Get ready for hands-on experiments, and designing your own experiments through the steps of the scientific method!

In this camp, we will explore math through art. Famous artists and mathematicians will inspire us as we look at patterns, geometry, fractions and more and create colorful, creative and fun "math-terpieces". Activities may include watercolour pi skylines, Mondrian square art, Fibonacci circle art, spirolaterals and more.
