Come join us as we investigate the natural world around us. Children will explore our local forests, animals while also getting to harvest in our school garden. They will participate in nature related art, dramatic play and literacy-based activities. Children will also take part in supervised games both indoors and outdoors. This week will thrill out door explorers! Note that the programming for the am and pm sessions will differ.

If your child is registered in both the morning and afternoon program this week, there will be a supervised lunch break from 12:00-1:00.

In this camp, we will explore math through art. Famous artists and mathematicians will inspire us as we look at patterns, geometry, fractions and more and create colorful, creative and fun "math-terpieces". Activities may include magic squares, tessellations, Calder mobile, DIY abacus and more.

Amazing Race, #413

Pack your passport and join us as we dig deep and discover a new continent each week in the Amazing Race Camp! In this immersive experience, participants will solve geographical challenges, engage in regional sporting events, develop art based on the style of particular counties and replicate exotic culinary creations. Join us as we bake Scottish shortbread and create traditional Chinese dragons! Over the week we will experience and build a global community through inquiry that will spark a passion for adventure.

Make your child’s Collingwood Camp a full day experience by adding on our afternoon program. Following a supervised lunch, our summer staff will lead campers through a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Cooperative games and arts and crafts are among the many fun “campy” activities that are planned with a different theme in mind each week. Our afternoon programming will complement your child’s unique instructional program in the morning, and is sure to keep campers engaged and active throughout the day.

Ages 8 - 10 (entering grade 3-5)

Children will work collaboratively to solve a variety of mathematically based problems that connect their mathematical skills to real world situations. We will play a variety of games, including card games and board games, learn card tricks, and share our thinking with each other to develop confidence with problem solving. Over the week, we will create an inclusive community of thinking and build upon our abilities in logical, creative and critical thinking. If you like mathematics, you will love this program!

The Power Up! program aims to empower participants by developing tools and strategies to go about their daily lives with a positive attitude, a kind heart and the ability to problem solve in an effective manner. Participants will engage in a variety of fun activities that are infused with themes of team building, communication, respect, empathy and compassion. Activities include a variety of art activities, journal writing, communication games, yoga, lip sync battles and so much more!
