This week is sure to be upbeat! This week will include instruments, singing and dancing! Your child will learn fun new songs and have a chance to make instruments of their own. Other activities during the week may include supervised games both indoors and outdoors, as well as reading and arts and crafts. 3A1

Masters of Problem Solving (Waitlist Only)

Ages 6 - 8

*entering grades 1-3

Students will work collaboratively to solve a variety of mathematically based problems that connect their mathematical skills to real world situations. We will play a variety of games, including card games and board games, learn card tricks, and share our thinking with each other to develop confidence with problem solving. Over the week, we will create an inclusive community of thinking and build upon our abilities in logical, creative and critical thinking. If you like mathematics, you will love this program! 3B1

Mini Sport Rugby (Waitlist Only)

Ages 6 - 8

*entering grades 1-3

Half-day camp: 9am - noon

This level 1 youth rugby camp will focus on the basic concepts and skills required to play rugby such as passing, running and strategies for both offense and defense. We will be using the rookie rugby model established by Rugby Canada which has “three primary stages: the Active Start, FUNdamentals, and Learn to Train because they aim to develop the foundation of skills for individuals preparing to be active later in life.” 3b3

Power Up! (Waitlist Only for Ages 6-8)

Ages 6 - 8 & AGES 9-12

The Power Up! program aims to empower participants by developing tools and strategies to go about their daily lives with a positive attitude, a kind heart and the ability to problem solve in an effective manner. Participants will engage in a variety of fun activities that are infused with themes of team building, communication, respect, empathy and compassion. Activities may include arts and crafts, beading, journal writing, drama games, yoga, lip sync battles, talent shows and so much more!

3B2 (entering grade 1-3) and 3C2 (entering grade 4-7)

Music Composition

Ages 9 - 12

*entering grades 4-7

Do you love to play music and want to learn more about composing and recording? In this program, participants will learn how to record music using Garage Band. Together, the group will compose and produce an original piece of music. 3C1

Instructor: Mark Sullivan, Collingwood School Grade 5 Teacher, Award Winning Canadian Fiddler

Requirements: Participants are required to bring their own MacBook, MacBook Pro, or iPad with access to the Garage Band program. Preferably, all participants will bring an instrument of their choice, as instruments will not be provided.

Junior Multisport (Waitlist Only)

Ages 9 - 12

*entering grades 4-7

Half-day camp: 9am - noon

Calling all athletes! In this program, participants will be exposed to four different sport categories (target games, net/wall games, invasion/territory games, and base games) throughout the week. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills, and build on existing ones in a variety of modified team games. The week will wrap up with a Mini-Olympics team challenge. Field hockey, Tchoukball, Danish Longball, Skittles, and modified Volleyball are just some of the culminating games that will be offered! 3c3
