Lions and tigers and bears… oh my! Come on an animal adventure with us this week as we explore creatures near and far! We will observe animals in their natural habitat and learn about animals that live all over the world. Children will have an opportunity to delve deeper and learn more about an animal of their choice. Dramatic play, arts and crafts and supervised indoor and outdoor games will certainly take on this animal theme, too!

If your child is registered in both the morning and afternoon program this week, there will be a supervised lunch break from 12:00-1:00.

Mad Science, #102

Learn all about science during an exciting week of non-stop experiments! Your child will learn all about science and participate in a variety of safe and fun experiments, many of which they will be able to bring home. Supervised indoor and outdoor games, dramatic play, reading and arts and crafts will take on this theme all week, too.

If your child is registered in both the morning and afternoon program this week, there will be a supervised lunch break from 12:00-1:00.

Arts, Crafts & DIY, #111

Arts, crafts and DIY projects are the focus of this program! Think of all the possible things to make, as seen on Pinterest! Participants will have fun creating projects inspired by their own creative ideas, outside inspiration and maybe even some of their favourite children’s books! Different themes will be covered each day as children use their crafty skills to sew, paint, draw, and create different pieces they will be proud of. Participants will not only learn new artistic skills, come away with some great DIY projects, but they will connect with others in an artistic environment.

Fun with Language: Rhyme, Rhythm & Riddles, #112

Throughout the course of the week, participants will incorporate real world activities with math concepts, both in and out of the classroom. Make your child’s Collingwood Camp a full day experience by adding on our afternoon program. Following a supervised lunch, our summer staff will lead campers through a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Cooperative games and arts and crafts are among the many fun “campy” activities that are planned with a different theme in mind each week. Our afternoon programming will complement your child’s unique instructional program in the morning, and is sure to keep campers engaged and active throughout the day.


Ages 8 - 10 (entering grade 3-5)

Math Magic, #121

Students will work collaboratively to solve a variety of mathematically based problems that connect their mathematical skills to real world situations. We will play a variety of games, including card games and board games, learn card tricks, and share our thinking with each other to develop confidence with problem solving. Over the week, we will create an inclusive community of thinking and build upon our abilities in logical, creative and critical thinking. If you like mathematics, you will love this program!

Do you love spending time in nature and want to learn more about gardening and plants? In this program, children will explore our garden and surrounding forest to learn about all the species of both plants and animals that make up our natural environment. Of course, children will plant their own seeds, harvest some produce, and even make some delicious snacks together! Participants will also explore the science behind how plants grow, and create art relating to BC’s diverse flora and fauna. All aspiring “Green Thumbs” welcome!
