Does Collingwood School accept international students?
Collingwood School welcomes applications from all families regardless of where they currently reside; however, preference is given to Canadian residents. Collingwood is a day school only; unfortunately, we do not offer boarding or homestay and all of our students must live in the local area with one or both of their parents. Please note, we do not offer ESL or ELL programs. International applicants must be able to provide proof of their valid Canadian immigration documents for both the applicant and parent(s) at the time of enrolment.
Do you work with agents or consultants?
How do I register for the SSAT?
Only International and out-of-town applicants to Grades 4-12 should write the SSAT. If you're unable to join us for an in-house Entry Assessment, please visit the SSAT site to register your child for this assessment. Please ensure you designate Collingwood School as a recipient of your official report.
How can my child prepare for the SSAT?
Students in Grade 8 -12 are strongly encouraged to take a look at the ‘What’s on the Test?’ section on the SSAT website and to spend time reviewing the structure and content of the test to assist in their preparations.
How do I share my official SSAT report with Collingwood School?
For instructions on how to share your official SSAT score report with us use this link.
What SSAT score does my child need to achieve?
The SSAT provides us with a glimpse of a student’s academic areas on one day, in one sitting – in math, writing, reading, vocabulary, etc. This information is then reviewed in conjunction with their report cards and their historical academic performance. There is no minimum score expected as it is an admissions test and not an academic assessment.
