'Dual At The School' Puts Wrestlers Back In The Spotlight
David Speirs

Last year, Coach Larisch put wrestling firmly in the spotlight at Collingwood by hosting two home tournaments and the Vancouver Sea-To-Sky Zone Championships.  ‘Discord in McCord’ and ‘Duel in the School’ gave our wrestlers a chance to be cheered on by our home fans.

Coach Larisch decided that the last meet of 2024 for the Cavs should be at home so on Wednesday Collingwood hosted ‘The Dual At The School’.  This was a dual meet which featured a two-mat set-up with Collingwood, Terry Fox and Queen Elizabeth facing off against each other.

This event gave the Collingwood wrestlers a chance to wrestle some opponents from off the North Shore, which is crucial when developing our athletes for the Zone and BC Championships.

The meet was a huge success with Collingwood wrestlers dominating their opposition.  It was the perfect way to end the first half of the season.
