This past week and weekend marked an extraordinary achievement for our school's economics teams at the Northwestern Economics Tournament at Northwestern University. We are thrilled to announce our best results ever!

The tournament kicked off last Tuesday, April 1, with a challenging remote power round. The intensity continued into Saturday, as teams competed in person at Northwestern, engaging in a fast-paced quiz bowl format.

During the round robin stage, Collingwood 1 demonstrated exceptional prowess, achieving a remarkable record of 6 wins and 2 losses. Collingwood 2 also impressed with a strong showing of 5 wins and 3 losses. Notably, for the FIRST TIME EVER, Collingwood 1 advanced to the quarter-final round!

This tournament is highly competitive, featuring 61 teams participating both remotely and in person. The questions spanned a wide range of economic topics, including micro- and macroeconomics, historical and current economic events, and US economic legislation, to name a few.

Please join us in congratulating the following students for their outstanding performance: Alvin C., Hudson H., Bennett S., Diana S., Hannah L., Frank Z., Harry K., and Yihan W.

In addition to the competition, our students had the valuable opportunity to connect with alumni currently studying in Chicago. This provided a fantastic chance to gain insights into higher education and potential career paths.

We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and success!
