20. Looking Back at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics

It's been 15 years already since the Olympics swept through Vancouver and forged everlasting memories for those of us who were lucky to experience its magic.

The spirit of the Games was palpable at Collingwood, with a sea of red and white, a pep rally, and spirit week - and even resulted in a special 'Olympics Break' from school for our community to take in as much as the event as possible. Collingwood was also represented in the famed torch relay with student Ryan Johnson and parent Bob Gibson having the honour of carrying the torch. One of our most spirited teachers at the time, Ms. Camblin, was even featured in a national magazine for her outrageous ‘Canada’-themed outfit!
